Cartoon blog day 16: Real meat

CBD16 Real meat.jpg

I find optimism where other people find nihilism. He said ironically.

All jokes aside I totally understand the vegan movement. The current mass production of meat is the result of mass demand. You reduce the demand you reduce the offer.

What can I say that hasn’t been said ?

In my loneliness, I think about ways to contribute to the well being of the environment with the intention of living a GREEN life. However, like most people I tend to choose convenience over quality. For example I have stopped buying paper tissues which I used to carry with me, I replaced paper towels with cloth. Not only do I save money I create less trash.

When it comes to the consumption of meat, I live in Bangkok, Thailand where the food is not only delicious but cheap compared to other BIG Asian cities. As a result, I fill my love for meat everyday.

I remember growing up in India with my brother. My single Mom would would cook  fish and meat only on weekends. I still don’t know if that was part one of the many religious traditions or just because my mother didn’t have enough money to buy meat and fish everyday. Ah I used to be in great shape until I moved to Europe after my high school graduation.

I started eating meat almost on a daily basis after I moved to France 13 years ago.

The above mentioned memory gave me an idea, I don’t want to become VEGAN. Because I believe a healthy human being needs a varied diet. But I plan to eat meat only 5 days per week as a starting point. My goal is to gradually increase these MEATLESS days to 4 (3 days with Meat and 4 days without).

Even better I think they should have an International no MEAT day per week.

Bonne journée.

Cartoon blog day 14: Money goals

Hey I tried to color my cartoon today because I had more time.

CBD14 Money goals

I heard some people have even planned what age they are going to die, what age the are going to retire and so on. But I cannot emphasize this enough, i truly believe that enjoying the experience, the process is a healthier way to live.

Maybe this comes from the fact that in schools we are trained to get good grades, good results even if you are even interested in learning at all.

Even in case of marriages, if you are getting married to have a family what happens after you have a child and the child grows up and leaves the house? I still feel that most relationships are means to an end not an end in itself.

Is that why, couples gets separated after their kids grow up?

At the same time I have never been married and I am single at the moment so maybe I am not the best person to listen to.

What are your money goals?

Bonne Journée.

Cartoon blog day 13: Corporate culture

I used to work for a multinational company in the automotive industry. I don’t know how much money the company spent on building a “corporate culture”, needless to say it felt important.

There is nothing wrong with that, after all, you have people from different cultures working together towards company’s goals.

CBD13 Corporate culture.jpg

I am still not sure whether this corporate culture is a solution to cultural differences or a genuine attempt to make employees feel like they belong in a social structure. You have probably heard Managers’ speeches like “We are a family”. (Then what about my real family?)

As you might have noticed I referred to the corporate culture as a possible solution which means cultural differences are seen as problems.

But cultural differences are problems only when faced with the method that the company followed so far to get successful results. A Japanese company follows a Japanese approach, a French company follows a French approach and so on.

Cultural differences are not problems, they are part of our reality.

I feel that these differences are not discussed in all honesty not only because of their complexity but also in fear of offending someone in the process. It’s like a relationship in a couple if you don’t address the differences they will build up exponentially. But people won’t talk about them, because it’s easier to break up than to lose your job.

Bonne journée.

Cartoon blog day 12: DILF

CBD12 DILF.jpg

I had this idea after witnessing how obsessed girls are of Caucasian babies here in Bangkok. The other day I saw a girl run towards a parent just to say hi to the baby. I was listening to a podcast where I heard the same thing about dog owners in TINDER (which by the way I am not into).

Now as a man, we might not realize how this is attractive to women. People take the sexist card whenever a man thinks about a sort of programming that we HUMANS are not aware of. But come on, I have to admit when I see a child lost in a mall looking for her mother even for a second I feel the need to protect her to help her find the mother. Should I be ashamed of what I feel for a helpless child?

Now what if I felt the need to help a woman struggling with her luggage does it mean that in my head I am responding to a programming in which Women are weaker than me?

At first people get scared in front of all these questions that men didn’t have to think about. I am not different when it comes to the relationship with women. But I am more interested in questions than answers maybe that’s the wanna be philosopher in me.

This is part of a long chain of changes to come, the human society is organizing itself in a different way. The best thing to do is to listen. NOT RUN.

Bonne journée.

Cartoon blog day 10: Halloween pick-up line

Dressing up as Batman can give you courage. In the future I will make a longer post dedicated to the character of Batman. People always say that Batman doesn’t have superpowers but for me HE IS the SUPERPOWER.

All this to say don’t be afraid to approach that lady as long as you keep your lines respectfully fun. This happens a lot because all ladies I am attracted to, is taken.

Hey just because she has a boyfriend, it doesn’t mean she is happy right? RIGHT? Oh my god I’m an awful person.
